- Indian citizens only; OCI/PIO treated as Indian for admission but no reservation or fee concession.
- Candidate Categories:
- Keralite: Eligible for reservation & fee concession. Children of All India Service (AIS) officers in Kerala cadre are considered Keralite (without reservation/fee concession).
- Non-Keralite I (NK I): Studied in Kerala; children of Government/Defence employees in Kerala; or resident of Kerala for 5 years. Eligible for state merit seats only; no reservation/fee concession.
- Non-Keralite II (NK II): All others. Eligible for private/self-financing college seats; limited quota in government colleges; no reservation/fee concession.
